We hold our regular club night every Wednesday in the sports hall at Avonbourne Academy, girls section. Please ensure that you park in the girls section only, as if you park in the boys section car park, you may get your car locked in over night!    The entrance to the sports hall is not easy to find, so please see photo’s below for directions. Please also note that Sat Nav’s will often not guide you correctly if you enter the post code, so best not to rely on them for directions to the college.

Please drive carefully on school grounds and do not exceed the speed limit.

Both Avonbourne girls and boys academy share the same entrance off of Harewood Avenue. You need to take the entrance in between the zebra crossing and pelican crossing closest to the roundabout. This private driveway is called “College Road” – see photo at top of this page.

Proceed up College Road and ignore the entrance on the right marked “No Entry”. At the next gate turn right into the Avonbourne girls section car park, as per photo below –

As soon as you have turned right, turn sharp left and park in the main car park…….

There is a small gate in one corner of the car park (nearest the silver clad building) which leads into an open air basketball court. Please note that sometimes this gate will be closed and another gate to the left will be open instead. Walk across the court and then down the gap between the two buildings by the fire escape……

Walk in through the white doors at the end of this alley and you will be in the school corridor. Turn left and it will take you directly into the main Avonbourne girls sports hall.
