Flukey Feathers regular club night is held every Wednesday evening from 7:00pm -9:45pm at Avonbourne Academy, girls section. Club night continues right throughout the year – we do NOT close out of the regular badminton season. The only time that we do not play, is during a week or two over the Christmas & New Year holidays. Very occasionally the school will close for a week or so during the summer if major maintenance work has to be carried out in the sports hall, but this is very rare. Guests of current members are currently somewhat restricted, due to our club being very busy. If your guest is of a good league playing standard, they are welcome to come along and pay to play on the night, but there is a maximum of one guest per member. If you wish to bring more than one guest, then you will need to check with the club secretary Russell Clarke beforehand.

New members – we are currently victims of our own success and due to being very busy most nights, we cannot accept any new members at this time, unless you are a TOP LEVEL male league player, or MID LEVEL (or good club level) lady league player or above.

Visiting Players – if you are just temporarily visiting Bournemouth (work or holiday etc) and wish to find somewhere to play with others, then we will try to accommodate you, as long as you are of a decent league playing standard. Please contact the club secretary in advance to check okay.

If you are a beginner please ensure you contact club secretary, Russell Clarke, beforehand to discuss. Please note that due to being very busy, we are NOT currently able to accept any beginner level players; we will however do our utmost to find you other sessions where you can play. The current cost for pay and play on club night is £6.00 for the full 2¾ hours.
