The Rovi tournament will now take place on Saturday the 10th of November at Harewood College, starting at 10am. Entry fee is £12 for a whole day of Badminton and all money raised goes towards the purchase of defibrillators that are installed at venues where Badminton is played. The third annual Rovi Jongco Tournament is being held on Saturday the 14th of July 2018 at Harewood College. Money raised from these tournaments go towards the purchase of defibrillators which we have installed at local sports venues where badminton and other sports are played. We hope to have the second one bought and paid for soon, so money from this tournament will mainly go towards the third one and they cost around £1,000.00 each. Many thanks to all of you have supported this tournament in the past and/or made donations towards the fund.

The entry fee this year remains at £12

If you wish to take part, please contact Russell Clarke at least one week before the tournament. You do NOT need a partner, although all games will be doubles.

The annual Summer Dinner Dance this year is on Saturday the 1st of July at the Queens Hotel in Bournemouth and the cost is £26 per person. It would be nice to get at least one table of 10 people together from Flukey Feathers! If you are interested in going please let Russell Clarke know ASAP!!!

Hi all, a gentle reminder – can you all please ensure that you drive carefully whilst on school premises. Even though we use the facilities in the evening, there are very often still teachers around and quite often school children, particularly if there are special events on. The Harewood College site in particular has blind corners. Thank you!

 

Club night runs as normal on Wednesday the 12th of April.

There will however NOT be a league training session on Monday the 17th of April.

Normal service resumes following week!

Flukey Feathers are collecting the Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers again. If  you shop in their supermarkets or use their petrol stations please ask for the vouchers when you pay.

Flukey Feathers are running a club session takeover event in aid of the Badminton England’s second year of fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Care.

This is being held on Wednesday the 23rd of November at Avonbourne College from 8 to 10pm. All ages and abilities are welcome. All money raised goes to the Badminton 4 Macmillan fund. There will be a variety of fun badminton activities. Minimum suggested donation to take part is £5 per person. Rackets will be available if needed. The Dorset senior restricted tournament is on Friday the 30th of September (mens & ladies singles) and the doubles (all disciplines) are on Sunday the 2nd of October.

The last date for entry is Friday the 23rd of September. Please find a copy of the entry form attached Here.

This will be a fantastic fun tournament with the opportunity to play competitive games against players from other clubs. The standard will be suitable for all competent club players, so get together and get your entries in NOW!
